Free on a Tree is a community initiative by 10 year old Oliver Edwards. He’s in Grade 4 at The Hutchins School in Hobart, Tasmania. His mum Cathy is helping with the campaign.
People who might shy away from help can easily access these coats and jackets from our distribution points and also from trees around your neighbourhood. We feel it’s a private and dignified way of receiving help and to let people know there’s a community out there that care about our current rental crisis and homelessness. It’s at the heart of Oliver’s idea behind Free on a Tree!
